G.I.Joe was ripped off a lot in the 80's much like how we here at STS get ripped off a lot (Cracked doing a vehicle list, we did that a long time ago. General Hawk becoming a blog pfft we've been one since 1993, Joecustoms)
Here are my 5 favorite bootlegs (Images bootlegged from yojoe!)
THOSE GUYS FROM THE OTHER GALAXY That dio on the back is better than Power Struggle
COMMANDO! some jerks think that the best Anti Terrorist team was Stalker, Hawk, Duke, Flint, Lady Jaye, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Roadblock, Shockwave, Countdown, Effects, Crosshair. Well they're jerks and possibly Chinese Communists
The real anti terror heros are: Sea Hank, Scar-Face, Tartar, Captain J.B., Ace, Ram, FOXY, Big Beard, Serpent, Robin, Dove, Grey Hound. They always won and carried suitcases
SAS Micro Force: Mainly because this guy is totally a Red Dog head on a swivel head Footloose torso, with 86 Hawk legs and straight arms.
Unknown Vehicle: These guys even put on a GI *GIANT FUCKING HEAD* Joe sticker on it. I think this is a modified TONKA vehicle. (Yeah I know this is an actual joe vehicle that's the joke!)
this article is like a bootleg it claims "SUPER WINNER GREAT 5 FAVORITE BOOTLEGS" but I only did four!

those file cards were just straight incredible! "hit you his power rod! Gunpowder in coke bottle and called it a cocktail!" Thats freakin genius
sea hank will be my new custom very soon.
thank you smash the state.
there would be no broca blutch without you, and without broca blutch there would be no poverty or world hunger.
that is why you are first on our links list.
My brother and I had several POWER COMMANDOS which I believe we got at Odd Lots or possibly Hart's.
X-Ray Eye was my favorite because he reminded me of the Batman villain DEADSHOT. He was like my very own "custom Joe" when I was eight.
I own one Power Commando, my brother found at a store in 1993, the second figure was missing. His name was Submarine, and he was the lamest looking of all. Somehow I found that figure used again, but have never seen any other Power Commandos.
The SAS figures were available in the US under another name, That'snot Red Dog's head, it's from the Commando (The ARNULD film from the 80's) toy line. Yes, they used Arnold's head, too.
COMMANDO! (not the Schwartzeneggar film) line used figures were sold under various names, often in 2-packs at shitty stores. They use Galoob's A-Team bodies, and some have Issac's head from LOVE BOAT (Mego), no joke! Outta sight! Unlike, GI JOE I could find these assholes at stores in the shitty small town i lived in. I used them at Viet cong during my RE-ENACT RAMBO/M.I.A. (not that rapping chick) period of the late 80's.
Yes, I know too much about GI JOE knock-offs.
Tartar is the new torpedo in my Joeland.
sea-hank says: purple haze, galangalangalang
Bravo the fact that COMMANDO used Issac's head amazes me. I once saw some bootleg that had a white Mr T. head, I regret not getting him. Also do you remember if the SAS figures had swivel heads (It looks that way) As I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro sold off those torso molds from 85 guys after they decided on the ball joint head.
D Verburg, if you make Sea Hank, you will be my favorite Broca Blutch guy ever.
Jaysun I would've gone with FOXY as the new Torpedo, but that's just me.
I can't believe it's taken us this long to post about this.
Sea-Hank is my favorite name ever, it evokes some kind of Race Baron like imagery.
Big Beard doesn't even have a beard.
it's "down there"...
Yes, the SAS figures used a modified Footloose torso (some used another torso) and what looked like Frostbite legs. The SAS figure there used different legs from the figures I got. One thing about the US releases, their helmets never stayed on.
I assume they were bootlegs, not Hasbro molds. Another company that made IMPACT/Adventure Man copied BATS legs (made into "straight legs") and Destro's arms...among others. LARS LAZER from CORPS used copied Wet Suit arms and a modded EEL v1 head.
Those COMMANDO names sound like gay porn star handles. I never knew that was Issac's head until the 3 3/4" Archive pointed it out. Probably because I never knew anyone made a Love Boat toy line.
We had a few MASH figures, that was strange they made toys for that show. The damn copter broke too easily.
Some of the accessory packs for the Commando type figures (Called Commando Ranger here)
